The panfish bite is on!  As with everything this year we are a couple of weeks behind schedule, however the bite has gotten good fast.  The bluegills are everywhere it seems like, but size has been challenging.  This year class of keepers seems to be a bit smaller than normal.  That being said you can still get a limit of good eaters, the hogs are just a bit harder to come by.  The crappies are in the dredged areas east of the shop, with decent numbers being reported.  I have also talked to a few people who have gotten into the jumbo perch already!  I think you have to put in some work to find them, but they are out there.  If you are looking to river fish there are plenty of bluegills stacked on wing dams, and the smallmouth bite is excellent right now.  Stop in for the latest report!

Thanks,

Chad
